These are the moments where we think “nothing” is going on. But actually something quite extraordinary is happening: You’re here, you’re alive, you’re conscious.
Slow down, breathe, take it all in…
1. Waiting in the grocery line.
2. Sitting in traffic.
3. Standing in the elevator.
4. Waiting for a friend at a restaurant.
These are wonderful times to practice being mindful. Often you can just notice these moments, as they are, right here. Take these in-between moments to focus on your breath, or listen to your thoughts, or just notice the world around you—the people walking by, the buzz of traffic, the sun peaking in through the clouds.
